How to reach the Hot Air Balloon Oman place inside Wahiba Sands Desert?
We provide free pick-up and drop-off services for guests staying at desert camps near Arabian Oryx Camp. For those outside the pick-up zone, we offer transportation for up to 4 people with the vehicle number 30 OMR. If you are coming from Muscat, there will be an additional cost for pick-up with vehicle number 100 OMR, accommodating up to 4 people per car. Please note that if you are arriving in your own 4×4 vehicle, you must be present at the meeting point (hot air balloon camp near Arabian Oryx Camp) at the designated time. Guests who are being picked up or are making their own way to the meeting area must arrive at the take-off area no later than 30 minutes before the flight.
While you observe the preparation of the balloon, you will be served coffee, tea, and snacks. The exact time of takeoff will be decided by the pilot during the sunrise. After landing, a ceremony will take place where juice and snacks will be served. The pilot will issue a Flight Certificate or medal to guests, and hats will be given as a memory. Guests will be dropped off at their camps or meeting areas. The entire experience is expected to last 2-2.5 hours, but please note that weather conditions will determine if the flight can proceed, the actual flight duration is between 45 minutes to 1 hour.
If the flight is canceled due to weather conditions by the Balloon Company, a full refund will be provided.
