Winter: November-February temperature daytime is 25-30  and at night 15-8 degree

Summer: October / March / April temperature daytime is 30-35  and at night 25-18 degree

Our hot summer months May-September, we are closed, but from end of August the desert nights become cooler and thats beautiful time for an unforgettable open air - under stars sleeping experience.

We recommend a big 4x4 vehicle like Toyota Landcruiser, Nissan Patrol, Prado or  Pajero, as smaller cars might will not reach our camps.

Starwatching Camp is for relaxing stay and quiet activities like long camel rides, Sandboarding or animal exploration trekking tour an be booked in Wahiba Sand desert. The Bedouin camps and Just For You Starwatching Tent are for the desert experience perfect to combine with activities like Cooking class with the bedouin family, dune bashing, quad biking or camelrides, trekking tours or camel race training tour.

We recommend respectful clothing, means nothing tide, not transparent, shoulders and legs covered till the knees for man and women.

Why we say respectful? In order to understand how to respect the omani culture, you should know why we ask for it.

Kids are raised in the way always to cover with clothes, and if you want to get to know the country, you wanna meet people, families and should respect the traditions. So not to be too open to the children eyes, thats the reason to wear respectful clothing.

For mans, a knee-long trousers or light long linen trousers and a t-shirt are recommended.

For Ladies a long linen skirt or loose trousers and t-shirt or long-arm shirt or a long dress are recommended. Scarf only need to be worn in a mosque if you would like to visit one.

Some places like the Royal Opera or the Across the ages museum can not be entered with shorts or short skirts or dress. Smart elegant dress is required.

Desert can be cold at night , mountains in winter are VERY cold. So be prepared and bring a jacket always.

Which shoes in the desert and sea? slippers are the best option, and for the mountains bring some trekking shoes.

Don't forget always sun protection, even if it feels cool, sun is always strong.
